I’ve always said that you don’t need to be rich to eat healthy. Leanne Brown’s book “Eat Well on $4/Day” is a perfect tool that validates this point.
The reason for the $4 a day price is that it fits the food stamps benefits received per person per day. It does require you to be disciplined though in how you consume food. For example buying foods that can be used in multiple recipes, buying in bulk and building a pantry.
I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it not only for those on a budget, but whoever would like help to plan their meal preparation and get inspiration for what to eat when you’re getting bored of the same food every day.
